In operation
since 1969 under present management, TRANS-PACKERS SERVICES CORP. (TPSC)
has as its core business the blending and packaging of dry food and
non-food products for retail, institutional, industrial and military
customers. The operation is conducted in our 100,000 square foot
facility located in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn.
The entire
facility is sprinkler protected, and the packaging areas are
segregated, most having their own air conditioning and heating
controls for constant temperature and humidity maintenance. Sanitary
conditions are continually monitored by USDA, EPA, military, federal
and state agencies, as well as by customers.
A dependable union work force of over 120 people, most living in the neighborhood
of the facility, are employed by TPSC at hourly rates which allow
the company to be both highly competitive and profitable. When
required, additions to the work force have been recruited in the
neighborhood on a temporary basis.
Throughout our
facility we have hand sanitizers to help keep the environment as
clean as possible. In addition we also have a full insect and rodent
control program in place. |
